Spork and Knife

I met a friend for drinks last night at Cleveland Park Bar and Grill and much to my delight, found that on Wednesdays they offer half price bottles of wine. 

To me, this is the best deal, and also the only way I will order a bottle while out.  Paying $40 for a 2003 Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon, when I know it costs around $22, at this point in my life, seems a bit extravagant.  This is where a drinking companion comes in handy.  We split the bottle, so at half cost, it came to $10 each.  End result, a smooth, earthy, oaky wine and a relatively full wallet. 

Now I do imagine a time when convenience will overtake price, but not now.  I’m still contemplating if it’s worth it to pay the extra dollar for brand name TP!
