Working off of yesterday’s post, I thought I would share one of my favorite and easy party dishes…
Think creamy and buttery, and you might picture brie cheese. Add bourbon with brown sugar and you’ve got a little slice of heaven!
I’m getting hungry just writing this post.
You will need the following:
1 oven proof dish with sides. (I use a brie baker, but it’s not an essential item)
1 wheel of brie
a handful of brown sugar
2 oz of bourbon (your choice)
crackers or a baguette (you have to put the brie on something) These make a great choice.
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Place the wheel of brie in your oven safe dish.
Pour bourbon and sprinkle brown sugar over the wheel of brie
Once the oven is ready, place the dish in the oven for 10-15 minutes
You are done when the center of the cheese is soft to the touch (Use a spoon for this…burning yourself is a bad idea)
*Add or subtract the bourbon and brown sugar to your liking.
If you’re anything like me, once you smell the goodness coming from the oven you’ll forget about the party, and concentrate on how to get the piping hot brie into your mouth!
Enjoy…and if you learned anything in Kindergarten then you will SHARE with others!
Stay tuned for my next post on Corduroy-Restaurant Week

Now that is comfort food for sure! I wonder if making this recipe with a camembert cheese it would taste as good? Great recipe.
