I took a much need break from blogging, but for those of you that actually still read S&K I’ve got a great wine deal for you.
Given that it’s election day - at some point tonight you’ll either want to drink a glass in celebration, down a bottle to ease the pain or just simply celebrate that campaign ads will no longer interrupt The Office.
If you’re anything like me and refrain from laughing out loud when the wine guy tries to hand you a $25 bottle when you asked for something of the everyday variety…and your inner dialogue goes a little something like this:
“Yeah - I said an everyday wine. And in my world that means $10 and under. One of these days I’ll hopefully live on a planet where dropping over $20 on a bottle of wine doesn’t feel a little self indulgent.” Wait a minute - who are we kidding. I’m betting this guy doesn’t spend over $15 on a bottle and he’s hoarding all the good cheap stuff in the back. If I just peek down that hallway maybe I’ll get a glimpse of the good stuff.”
- just look around for Hob Nob Pinot Noir. It’s an easy drinking pinot with subtle fruit flavors that will keep most red wine drinkers happy. Nothing earth shattering here, but for anywhere between $8-$10 it’s money well spent.
Happy voting!
