First off, Welcome!
Let me explain a bit about myself.
I am a 20-something midwestern girl living in Washington DC with a passion for all things food related. I started this blog as an outlet for my experiences and in the hopes of sharing my knowledge with other food lovers.
I should add that I am not a food critic, chef or anything else in the industry. I did spend a good part of my high school and college years working for a very popular coffee chain, so I can say I know a thing or two about java/joe/insert other nickname here, but that’s about it.
When I go out to eat, I go with an open mind. Often times I find myself stumped about an item on the menu but that doesn’t stop me from ordering and asking questions. After all, how does everyone else learn?
Combining a love for all things food related with a budget has proven to be challenging and fun. I’ve made it a mission to find that bottle of wine both pleasing and easy on the wallet or the restaurant that gives you a great meal and experience without throwing down a week’s salary.
All of that said, I hope you join me on my adventures and misadventures. Comments are welcome and encouraged!
